However I am planing for September fall Msc petroleum research based .... on the same could tell me what are the possibilities that I can get into this course ...

Do they entertain mechanical graduate for Msc in petroleum engineering ??
Dude , I passed from NIT durgapur , is IELTS is required for me as I have browse in there site and came to know that they have exempted NIT calicut ... so it is actually required for me to give . Can u suggest some alternative to it as I have asked them regarding the IELTS but no respond .... :-[

i dont know if they take mech engineers for petroleum or not.. u better contact Nona for that.
i have studied through out in english medium but gave IELTS as its mandatory for visa application.
you can avoid IELTS for admission purpose if your university can issue u a letter specifying that your mode of instruction was english. but not sure about visa.
in india all engineering colleges/university are in english.. in fact all professional courses are in english.
your profile is good, but if u r planning for MSc then you need to get a supervisor from UofA and for that you will have mail almost every professor in dept and ask them if they are interested in your profile.
getting supervisor/guide is mandatory for MSc.
they have a preliminary form to be filled. fill that form and you will come to know if they consider u eligible or not.
