Anyone else applying from the US?

Having trouble working out the details and finding relevant information. Wondering how long it takes once the papaerwork is sent in, how I can prove I can pay for tuition/room/board/etc and how I prove I will leave the coutry when i'm done? My situation is a little different as my girlfriend is there and i will be seeking citizenship after we marry and while I am studying there. Is anyone else in a similar situation? Can anyone offer any advice or suggestions?

• The application processing time depends on the country from which you apply. From the US it's 9 weeks.
• To proof financial, you can provide 4 recent bank statements with enough money in the accounts of course, or recent tax forms, or a sponsporship letter etc.
• If you girlfriend is not sponsporing you (financially or rent etc), I think it's better not to mention it because it looks like you're not really going to Canada to study. But don't quote me on this. It's just my opinion.
