Hi everyone — I’m an Alberta worker invited under AAIP Accelerated Tech Pathway and about to submit PR via PNP–Express Entry. I have Crohn’s and I’m currently on Skyrizi (risankizumab). My employer insurance (Canada Life) covers 100% right now.

I’m trying to learn from people who successfully passed medicals where drug costs were the issue (excessive demand). If you cleared medicals with Crohn’s (Skyrizi, Stelara, Humira/biosimilar, etc.), could you share what worked?

I have booked with an immigration lawyer already but I would like to get some insights from you as well.

I hope you can share some info like :
  • Program & timeline: PNP/EE? Province? When did you do IME → PFL (if any) → final pass?
  • Medication & dosing: Skyrizi/Stelara/Humira or biosimilar (brand), dose/frequency, stable or switching?
  • Insurance proof: Did you provide insurer letter (coverage %, caps, prior auth), benefits booklet, employer confirmation?
Declaration: Did you sign the IRCC “ability & willingness” declaration and add a personal undertaking not to bill public drug plans?

Thanks a ton — this will help me finalize a solid mitigation pack before submitting.

Hi there,
I submitted PR via SINP Non-EE on April. My husband is the secondary applicant and he is diagnosed with chron's disease. And he is taking Infleximab in every 8 weeks, and recently he is having chrons flare-up and put on under some more medications. Does he need to expect the Procedural Fairness Letter (PFL) going forward from IRCC? and the medical was submitted upfront.

Appreciate your responses !!
