Hello everyone, can anybody confirm the amount we have to put in GIC. Is it 10200 or 11200. As the banks are saying it is 10200 but if we see it on cic website for quebec it has to be 11200.

make it 10200 or 10250 . 200$ will be charged by scotia bank for GIC .

There is nothing like 11000 . You need to deposit minimum 10000 $ otherwise your funds will be rejected . I had transferred 10250 and got GIC certificate . Visa in process .

Private schools are not included in schools that qualify international students for post graduate work permit and Permanent Residence under the CIC immigration laws. You have to attend a public school.
That's straight forward Reason.
Will this 1 year study visa extended for one more year if we want to switch from private college to public collage..

Eligibility
You have 180 days after your school issues your final marks to apply for a post-graduation work permit (PGWP).

To be eligible, your study permit must have been valid at some point during these 180 days.

    • that led to a degree, diploma or certificate
  • maintained full-time status as a student in Canada during each semester of your study program (except your final semester, which can be part-time, or if you took a leave from studies)
  • graduated from a:
    • public post-secondary school, such as a college, trade/technical school, university, or CEGEP (in Quebec), or
    • private post-secondary school (in Quebec) that operates under the same rules as public schools in Quebec, or
    • private secondary or post-secondary school (in Quebec) that offers qualifying programs of 900 hours or longer, that leads to a diplôme d’études professionnelles (DEP) or an attestation de spécialisation professionnelle (ASP), or
    • Canadian private school that can award degrees under provincial law (for example, Associate, Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate degree) but only if you’re enrolled in a study program that leads to a degree as authorized by the province

Kemmyann is right .Not All the Designated approved colleges are eligible for PGwP This on the Cic website.

You can check your college there if it's included or not but Most private College don't qualify.

If you're not sure of information stop quoting others verified message wrong.
You are simply looking at Designated college.

Some programs in private colleges do qualify especially in Quebec, but private colleges and mostly terrible in many ways, even public colleges are not great here so be careful.

yes you are right, there are 2 factors based on the cic website.
First) institute should be in DLI list
Second) PGWP, for some of the colleges, mentioned YES or detail. if you click on drtail you can see this information:

So, i think that we you search Herzing College in QC, you can see this school is eligible for PGWP. I think it should be something like this,
