Anyone applied or planning to apply for GIC?

bu in some posts made by people who were going in jan intake.said that it tuk more than 2 weeks after the transfer and till dey dint received gic......btw loans are still accpted ryt?not made gic mandatory??

Even i have the same doubt.Can we go ahead with the loan?

yes you can go ahead with loan instead of GIC.No issue with that but i don't understand why they have written GIC is prefered (in bold letters)over loan.

If you check up carefully, there were many mistakes which the people did the last time like ;
* not being careful about quality of scanned uploads
* not signing the copies
* not putting them in ONE pdf in the mentioned ORDER
* even sent handfilled forms
* sent the forms multiple times
* sent too many follow up mails

I beliv if we can omit out on these errors, it should not take much tym to be done... watsay???

hmm .. Anything that is executed for the frst tym .. may have loopholes.. lets hope it is smoother this tym... by the way... I ws readying the docs to b put in the pdf .. tell me anyone knows,where do I put my signatures? ... any blank space at the bottom?? will tht do?
and is evry sheet I get scanned ,needed to be signed? like 2 passport pages,, one with pic n the othr with address... both hav to b signed?
and then the LOA has many pages .. do they all need to be signed? .. I hav the habit of putting date underneath and hav done that in these docs too... hope tht is okay?

bro there is no mistake done by people last time only Scotia bank do wrong thing ..
1st they make application form handfilled one there is no electronic form and then they mention wrong email id "newaccounts@scotiabank.com"
but correct email id is "newaccount@scotiabank.com"and after all that they change it make things little bit clear.

bro u have to put sign in ur application form the they place to sign.and after on passport photostate i make both pages of passport on single page.and that first page of LOA sheriden college the give me three pages but i only put first page with sign.

1.two pages of application form (sign on 2nd page)
2.passport first and last page on sigle sheet (with two sign)
3.LOA ( first page wth sign)
make single pdf file
Submit this application with all supporting documents to Scotiabank by scanning and emailing
readable copies in a single PDF file to newaccount@scotiabank.com. Students must indicate
“Scotiabank Student GIC Program” on subject line

anyhw... I hav signed each and every page that is to go...
: the passport pages.. but they are two not one... and signed separately of course..
: the LOA ... all three pages with signatures on every page
: the application form ... two pages one of them is already signed and the other has also been signed...

* all signatures at the bottom of the page...

I hope I haven't done anything wrong ... pls lemme know if I have missd out smthng or overdone that may not be gud for my applicn....

bro as i know Deferral letter is also LOA. And can i know what they write on 3 pages of loa? As i also got 3 pages of loa but main page is first page.
