I applied online on 2nd august
i got my original passport request on 4th august
sent the passport to them on 5th august
and got my visa delivered to my house on 9th august ;D
so hopefully everybody will get their visa on time

i did my medical on 18/06/2014
and applied online on 2nd august under spp after receiving GIC receipt
within two days they asked me for my original passport
in addition to everything i had attached an SOP which i think will help your process
if they ask for your original passport then congo your visa is approved unless
your passport has some
fault Be positive and hope for the best

I submitted my online application on August 4th, went the day after to give my biometrics, they received on the CIC site on the 7th, nothing happened since that

I applied on July 30 (paper based) to VFS Duesseldorf, Germany and they received it on August 1. They sent me an email a few days later that they are finished processing it and that it's now being processed by the Canadian Embassy in Vienna. Hopefully I hear something from them soon. Good luck to everybody!
