Anybody waiting on TRV from Bangalore, India

Hi All,

Back on this forum, this time for my wife's aunt for a visitor visa to visit us for pregnancy/delivery help.

I am looking for feedback on anyone who applied in India on or after Dec 16th.

The following are the details:

1. Invited: My wife's mother's sister. Who invited: Me as a citizen
2. About the invitation situation: My wife is 6 months pregnant and we desperately need help. My mother-in-law is not in a position to travel and her sister is a good position to travel. Her situation is that she is retired (early volunteer retirement), but on a board for a bank, has fixed and current deposits along with property.

With all the documents duly filled, we dropped the application at VFS in Hyd and next day it was transferred to Bangalore and since then it is in process.

I heard good things about Bangalore office and the quickness in processing in few threads. I understand the holidays and all however I believe the case is clear. What does this delay might mean? Did anyone around this time frame got replies in India?

My mum applied Dec 17 and she just received her passport Jan 5 the application got rejected. I am also 7 months pregnant and have provided doctors letter for my mums application and also mentioned my pregnancy in the invitation letter. Bangalore office said she did not provide proof of her visit to Canada. ... .... I even provided her with my NOA and letter from employer and all my bank statements and she has provided her bank statements (she is retired now ) they said that was not enough and that she hasn't shown proof she will leave Canada when her time is up. I don't know what they want... I'm pregnant maybe they need my urine sample.

Are you planning to reapply? Did you apply through a VFS before? Did the status change on VFS tracking at all saying the passport has been dispatched?

You mentioned in a previous post that your mum had applied for a Super Visa.... has your mum considered applying for a TRV instead? A TRV will allow her to stay for a shorter duration but at least she can be there when you need her the most.

For a TRV, your mum needs to show extremely strong ties (financial/family ties/property is a big plus/job or business/ etc) to her home country.... along with a detailed itinerary (some bit of sightseeing, meeting up with friends/relatives, etc and also to be with you during your baby's birth) + also previous travel history (to Europe/USA etc) will help.... as compared to your documents as the host.

Your mum needs to present documentation/proofs to convince the VO that she will return to India

We r planning to reapply and yes we sent through vfs office all it said was processed passport has been dispatched.

We had sent the same amount of documentation for supervisa just in case they said we didn't have enough proof of ties... but now they r talking about either her income or mine.. but I know mine is a lot as I just landed a good high paying job.
We want to try again since both cost the same we have to decide which one.

I don;t want to buy it before getting the visa!

Also did you guys not submit the entire application, online?
I am planning to send forms to my parents to sign and scan them back to me , and I will submit everything online.

No I did not give a travel ticket as I thought the same as you but I think now it's better to do so as they want proof she will come back and also proof of visit.

Okay, now I got the email from VFS that the passport is dispatched. Fingers crossed.

Did not receive the msg with the tracking number from blue dart yet. Any idea how long it will take to receive the passport now?

Waiting big time.

Blue Dart will not send a message with the tracking number. You only get a VFS Global tracking number which does not help much.

The passport should be delivered tomorrow, around noon, depending on where your wife's aunt lives.

Passport was finally received around 6.30PM local time, and the best thing is that it is approved and 10 years.

Really happy right now and my wife is on cloud 9.

Congrats!
Could you please clarify the date you submitted the application (at VFS)? From the posts above, I deduce that the status changed on Jan 6th and you received passport on Jan 7th - is that right?

My wife's parents applied at VFS Mumbai on Jan 8th, and as of Jan 21st (13 days), no change. Still shows processing in Bangalore.
