Any Vancouver's Live in Care givers who is still waiting for an interview letter

Hi every one, I open this topic to see if there are any LIC who are in the same situation like me. I have been waiting for an interview letter from Vancouver's CIC office for almost 1.5 months. Any ideas how long they will send us a letter and what could have prolonged the processes?

LIC from other provinces have received their letters way faster than us. Some have got their letter only 1-2 weeks followed their 2nd email..

This is frustrating..

Hello Siraprapha we have the same situation , it's already 2mos n half I've waited for that interview letter but still nothing arrived yet. I phoned CIC hotline about it but they told me CIC Vancouver usually send letter 5-6 months since 2nd email from CIC vegreville. I couldn't understand why in some provinces it only takes 2weeks after they received second email. It's soo unfair and frustrating.

Yeah Atleast we have found each other to share our sentiments pertaining to this LOL one of my friend from Ontario it takes only 2weeks to wait that interview letter. By the way can you share your timeline? I don't really have an idea what took this CIC Vancouver to release such interview letter.
My timeline:
OW/PR submitted on JANUARY 3,2012
OWP RECEIVED ON APRIL 2012
First email from CIC vegreville RECEIVED on NOVEMBER 18,2013
Second email from CIC vegreville received on DECEMBER 9,2013

Until now nothing follows....still hoping and praying this PR will be granted very soon.

OWP approved : Sept, 2012
First email: Dec 12th, 2013
2nd email: Jan 7th, 2014

Still waiting for an interview letter from CIC Vancouver Office...waiting and waiting :'(

I just phoned CIC this morning. I talked to a gentleman (he sounds pretty nice). He said we should be looking at 5-6 months time line for Vancouver's applicants. It could be faster. I asked why my 2 gfs have got their letter only 2 weeks after the 2nd email? He said it depends on what time of the year and how busy they are.

Oh well, it's good to know. At least I don't have to think too much about it since I know it won't be anytime soon.

PS..My app will reach 24 months timeline in May. I should have received the interview schedule by then.

Hello Siraprapha that's what that guy told me before when I phoned CIC hotline he even greeted me happy birthday he's a nice guy though .....same explanations and reasons that We have to wait within the span of 5-6 mos... My application for pr already reached to 26 months since application....you know what I keep checking our mail box every single day!! Hoping and praying that I may able to receive that interview letter...

That was exactly what happened to 2 of my gfs from Vancouver. They got the interview letters 2 WEEKS! after their 2nd email. That was happened around Nov-Dec last year. Not far away from your timeline. They are now happy with their PR cards.
To be honest, you should have received your letter by now. My both gfs got their PR 24 months exactly after CIC received their app. According to your time-line, you should have got an interview schedule already.

Would you mind giving CIC a call to see what is happening? I start to feel a little worried. The girl who got her 2nd email the same day as me got her interview letter already and she is from ON. I would say ON is one big busy area with lots of applicants but they process faster than Vancouver..Something doesn't sound right here.

Thank you for such good sharing. And welcome to our Vancouver Team lol..I think we all got the same info from CIC.. Neng23, you, and me we got the same answers so at least we are on the same page.

I agree with you that it's so unfair we get the longest time to wait compare to others. I am just hoping I will get my PR (of course with a PR card) before I travel oversea early next year. Otherwise, it will be hassle trying to get traveling documents from Embassy and try to return back. Just thinking of it makes me feel headache...
