Depends on whether they believe your explanation for why you said no in your application. I hope you did provide an explanation?

I am also in same Boat. Selected as NO in online form though I had a U.S B1 visa rejection. I didn't notice the question properly at that time. I am still waiting for schedule A request. I have to say YES in schedule A when it is requested.

I would, though there were specific lines to explain your visa refusal(s) on Schedule A, and that would have been best. Your aim in the CSE should be to explain that you misunderstood the question on the original application, because if CIC thinks you simply lied, you will be open to the dreaded misrepresentation accusation that will bar you from applying for Canadian status for five years. I don't mean to scare you - many people on this board throw that threat around for the silliest things - but not revealing prior visa refusals is something CIC takes seriously. So do what you can to remedy the situation, and then wait and see - it very well may come out in your favor anyway.

Hi Dobes and harsha:

I am sorry to ask this question. i dont remember like answering any questions like that while creating profile or while submitting the documents. If there was any questions , can you please tell me at what place was it asked.

thanks ,

Hi Starling,

It was asked in the last security questions section. Most of the questions have Yes or no options.

Thanks
Harsha

I am opening a case specific enquiry by writing the letter of explanation to VO is that a nice idea?

I think you should probably do that, and try to explain yourself as best as you can.

Not to scare you, but I read on this forum recently that someone did the same mistake and was rejected and accused of misrepresentation. I don't remember exactly which thread it was. You can try going through Reasons for Rejection thread. It might have been there.

Yes. Try and put a clear and detailed explanation, with an apology, of how you made an honest mistake in filling the online form and explain exactly which visas were refused and for what reason. All the best!

I did fill a case specific enquiry form yesterday night and I will post the result here if I get anything from them.
