Hi,

I am a PR of Canada. My wife is Hong Kong National. I am about to send my wife's sponsor ship application next week. What is worrying me as I did not see anywhere which states whether we need to attest/ Notarize her documents from anyone if she is applying through Hong Kong???? Any one who applied through Hong Kong please share your experience. Do We need to notarize her documents????? if yes. how and where can we do that IN Hong kong?????
BTW she studied in UK and all her education after O' levels is from UK....

Thanks alot for all your suggestions...

If your documents are not in English or French, include an accurate translation with a copy of the originals. Failure to do so could result in substantial processing delays.

you need to have them translated into english and have them notarized and she can have tham done in H/K alot cheaper than you can have them done in canada

Hi Boblu,

Thanks for the reply. Do you know where about in Hong KOng?????I mean which department, courts or notary public???? what are they called in HK, So that we could do it from there. BTW all her documents are in English...

Hi noolan,

Where does it says you need to notarize the document? According to IMM3903, you need only to send copies of all other documents unless otherwise stated. I think it is fine if all her documents in English/French. Otherwise, she would need a translation.

In HK, notary publics generally works in law office. For address, check the yellow pages.
