This is absolutely frustrating. The amendments to the immigration policies took place over two and a half months ago and still no news from the South African High Commission. My family and I lodged our application close on a year ago, receiving the acknowledgement of receipt in August. Hibernation then kicked in and having waited together with thousands of others for the amendments I was lucky enough to find that I fitted the profile of one of the "38", however as luck would have it I did not have the required work experience in that specific field (12 months prior to application).
So considering this, as well as having acquired opinion from the legal representative handling my application, I am to believe that my application might be declined, given that my experience does not fully meet the criteria, but again "might be"!!!!
So here I sit awaiting official correspondence.
Accepted the High Commission is not only responsible for applications from within South Africa, but might I ask if any other applicants having lodged their applications through the South African High Commission have heard anything yet?
