Any defined Port of entry for international student ?

My son got recently a student visa to study in Windsor ON, Shall he enter through Vancouver, as he wish to visit a close relative living in Vancouver ? Whether he has been asked by any authority / saying that why you have enter through Vancouver ?
Does the port of entry matters ?

You can go either through Vancouver or Toronto, although it's easy going through Toronto for Windsor.

I know Toronto is nearby Windsor so it is easy to enter through Toronto. My question is though the visa is for Windsor,ON , shall he enter through Vancouver than after two month move to Windsor, after visiting relatives living in Vancouver.

yes he can go to Vancouver POE can be any point of entry. There should be no issue. I would suggest a less than 2 month period though as it may look fishy for IO and may get a few questions. If he has a good valid reason to come in 2 months early then I dont see any issue with Vancouver.

You can go from Vancouver. Here are the implications he has to show border officer the reason for going through vancouver. I was asked why this port of entry, how long I will be staying and where. How will I be travelling to my destination.
