Any course without IELTS requirement

My wife want to go canada on student visa but she is confident enough about not scoring 5.5 bands in IELTS .
Is there any course where she can apply and get her student visa .

i am assuming ur from india then IELTS is a visa requirement more over if her english is not good then it will be very difficult for her to continue studying in canada . min IELTS required is 6.5 for most of the university and 6 for most of the colleges i believe. Colleges /universities sometime wave IELTS but then they require u to take a course in english language which u have to pass and for which u have to pay.

Lets say for a minute that your wife somehow manages to get the Visa ... then what?

If she herself knows that even 5.5 score band is not possible then is there any point enrolling in a classroom where English is the medium of instruction and unlike India or any other country they can only explain in English and no second language ... probably French which again is not feasible.

Please understand that its a tuff and very competitive world out there.
Just getting visa , odd cash jobs , somehow getting a PR are all so difficult.

So in this situation I would highly recommend you to enroll your wife in a good English institute for example British Council in a 3 to 6 months advance course and you will see the difference..... by the end of course she would feel confident enough to score even 7 bands score.

2nd option is to enroll her for ELICOS course in Canada but that would be 10 times more expensive and visa could be an issue.

To be honest I don't mind if I need to pay for English course in Canada for my wife for her foundation course .
It won't be an issue .

And I do have my masters in international marketing from Sheffield business school and 2 year work experience in Environment Agency England.

I hope that will help me getting proper job , and yes I gave my IELTS exam it's 7.5.

Is diploma course will be alright or she need to take up masters , as I'm also planning for my phd./ Masters in canada .

As we don't want to take chances for visa refusal . As a family .

I also applied for intake Jan 2014 in Seneca college English as second language with my program.

She have done her bachlor of Arts and just finished 1st year of her masters in arts as well . Both of then taugh in hindi

Dear if any institution give admission without ielts so CIC have no issue.Ielts is requirement of institutions not CIC.
Many student whom applied without ielts and got permit.
Its possible without ielts. If institute give u acceptance letter without ielts. And not mentioned in LOA.
Its possible with ELI. If institute doesn't give u admission without ielts. It will u offer ELI with ur program.

yes ELI is an option but u should ask ur sefl if u cannot pass IELTS what r the odds u will pass english language course in canada? what happens if u fail in canada u get kicked out and lose ur study permit..i dont know about colleges but in some universities if u get 3 C grades u may get kicked out let alone F's....also IELTS is a requirement for SPP

IELTS is strongly recommended and not attaching is ok in general or university category however past education should be in english. what i am trying to say is taking english classes in india and improving english is a better option than taking any English language courses in canada ...its a big risk....
