Hi, I'm a Canadian PR with an expired PR card and an incomplete residency requirement. I left Canada when I was 16 with my parents and due to a lot of family issues and my mother and brother's mental health, I wasn't able to come back ASAP when I turned 18. I'm now 21 and planning to return to Canada. I asked around the forum, and most people suggested that I forgo filing for a PRTD under Humanitarian and Compassionate grounds from my home country (Philippines) and try my luck entering from the US boarder instead.
Although many people have told me that this will give me a better chance of reviving my PR, I do remain a bit iffy about the idea since it sounds too much like an illegal immigrant plans... (lol I watch too much NatGeo Boarder Patrol). I know it's completely legal since I am still a PR technically, but it would reassure me to hear some success stories with this plan (or lack of). Thanks to everyone for their support
