one more question:

Amongst the documents they have asked for a copy of my passport. It does not say a certified copy, can I send a regular photocopy of my passport or does it have to be certified copy?

No need for certified. just a copy ..

I also received a new file number few months ago. But I am sorry I don't know what that indicate.

PLEASE HELP

I am desperate for an answer and no one is responding to me. I have applied for immigration to Canada through skilled worker programme in 2010 and while it was under process I happened to get married to a Canadian citizen in 2012. Last week they have asked me to do my medical and also submit a few updates amongst them is the clearance of police records from me and my spouse. So my question is: Does my husband who is a Canadian citizen Currently residing and working in Canada need to send to submit police certificates?

Thanks

The best way dear is to send them an e mail and ask them , good luck

If your husband is working and living in Canada now he does not have to provide a police certificate . If he is working outside Canada he needs a police certificate from the country he is working in .

FSW1, File received April 2010, Process started March 2012, Update request November 2013, Medical and updates and RRPF request 20 January 2014, Docs sent 4 February 2014

Does anyone know whether if they are going to issue the visa faster if they ask for RRPF along with medical and copy of the passport or not?

It has nothing to do with RPRF , the process of the visa will take few months , if medical results ok and all updates ok , then your file will go to the final stage, that is passport request , good luck my friend , u waited years so few months is not a big deal ☺☺☺☺☺☺
