Hi everyone,
i have quick questions and hope someone can give me the answers.
I've applied PR inside in Dec. 2009 and received the first approval letter last week.
First question, how long does it normally take to get the next notice or final approval?
Second question, my current temporary visa is expired today so i've sent the application for visa extension a few days ago(before expire date) but it seems to be delivered to immigration Canada after the expire date. Will this cause any problems?

Thank you! =)

It depends on the local office the file is being sent to. If it is Calgary, Mississauga or Etobicoke, you can expect at least 6 months, other offices a month or two.

Hi,

I have a question for you, I applied inside Canada Vegreville with my wife sponsoring me and last week she received a letter in her name saying they approved her as my sponsor. But i did not get one in my name. According to my lawyer it is an AIP but i have to wait sometimes for them to send one out in my name. Did that happen with you. I would be most grateful for any insight.

I don't know if inland is different.. but in outland aps the applicant does not get a notice of the sponsorship approval, only the sponsor.

You will get one as well. Inland process is different from outland.

Your lawyer maybe a little wrong. Your wife being approved as sponsor, does not always mean an AIP. You could be requested to attend an interview, before the AIP is granted.

But, like all things, I am not absolutely sure about that and your lawyer could be bang on right. :D
