I don't think it's a limit to how much you can take, it's the point at which you have to declare it to customs, at which point you might have to prove that it's legitimate. Make sure that you take supporting documentation on how long hyou have held the assets and where they have come from. For example, sale of property/goods prior to settlement or from long term savings/investments.
