Your post is a bit confusing. If you're a protected person, then you can and should have applied for PR. Have you done that?

Has your claim been accepted? If it has, you can apply for a RTD. Keep in mind, until you become a citizen (and possibly even after) you should not travel to your home country.

I haven't had a hearing as yet and it'
been so long ,as for travelling am not interested in going Bk home
am talking about dubi and the UK for travel to see friends

Trudeau has been in office for quite a long time now - no amnesty has been introduced. Unfortunately you don't really have any options other than to wait for your hearing and hope for a positive outcome (or leave and abandon your claim). Good luck - hope you get your hearing soon.

That’s a year old now. With the influx of illegal immigrants from the US, that’s probably a topic that died off pretty quickly. It is also referring to illegal immigrants, not refugee claimants. Canadians are quite welcoming of genuine refugees, but not so tolerant of those who came illegally.
The only good news is that IRCC has changed the processing of refugee claims to FIFO, so legacy claims should be processed sooner than new applications. If you have a contact at IRCC I would inquire with the. How to get your older legacy claim expidited.
