My fiance is an American citizen and coming to Canada to get married. He'll only be here for less than a week and plans on returning to the USA due to commitments, work, home, etc. He will eventually move to Canada, but that won't be happening quite yet. My question is this, what should he say at the border? Can he say he is coming to get married? If he does, what proof should he bring that he is returning to the USA and doesn't intend on staying? He doesn't need a visa of any sort if the stay is less than a week, right?
Can he say he is just visiting his girlfriend with family? Not sure which option is the best.
