In your GCMS note under Security, check the created date,updated date and Due date. That tells you when the security was sent, when they got information last and due date they expect update. This should clarify when it was sent for security check.

Right, i interpreted the same.
the problem is there is no update for 3 month after due date. So due date doesn't mean anything.

My background is in progress for 8 months after aor on October . In my march Gcms security is not started yet. Does that mean comprehensive security check?

I applied March 6th for common-law inland sponsorship. AOR March 21st. Everything except background check was done by mid-May. Silence until October.

Now these are the updates I had in October:

• October 3 - Tracker added a line for pre-arrival service letter, dated May 10th
• October 4 - Ghost update in Tracker
• October 28 - Ghost update in Tracker. GCkey Additional Documents changed from “We received” to “Not Applicable”
• October 29 - Ghost update in Tracker
• October 30 - Ghost update in GCKey
• October 31 - Tracker added a line dated October 30 that Background verification is in progress even though it’s been “in progress” since AOR

I have contacted my MP, they said security screening is in progress but criminality is done.

What I worry about that maybe I am under comprehensive security and doomed to wait like another year for my PR. I am stressed, anxious and devastated. All the March application are receiving their FDs and P1/P2 emails and I am still stuck in background check. I don’t know what to think or do about it.

If anyone has heard of anything similar, please let me know.

Has there been an update on your application? My background check was completed in February, but I haven't received any updates since then.

The following is my timeline according to the Tracker:

• Submitted: Nov 25
• AOR: Dec 13
• Eligibility: Dec 31
• Medical completed: Jan 13
• Biometrics completed: Feb 05
• Background completed: Feb 13

Should I assume this means it's a comprehensive criminality check? Or could there be another reason for the delay?

That's really strange criminality should not take so long if your PCC has NRT. You should wait for some more time and then raise a webform to know your status.

No Since security has not started so you can't say you are in comprehensive check.

Thank you! I'm not sure if the delay is due to the fact that I lived in three different countries for over a year each before moving to Canada. I did provide police clearance certificates for all of them, so I suppose it's just a matter of waiting now.
