Hi all,

I'm a US citizen, and I just got my COPR.

My wife read the PR portion of the CIC site, and it looks like they are saying once I land, I cannot keep working in the US at my job without jeopardizing my PR status.

My plan was to continue with my current job, commuting from my Canadian residence, until I can establish myself in a Canadian position.

I am an Outland applicant.

I'm pretty sure I know expats who continued to work in the US after moving to Canada on their PRs.

Please help, as I am landing Saturday.

Thanks!

You can keep working in the US after you become a PR.

To maintain your Canadian PR status - you just have to make sure you live in Canada two out of every five rolling years.

I thought that. But the info, as usual, mislead her to believe otherwise.

Thank you so much.

Anyone have experience doing this?

I'm sorry this isn't in the right forum. Takes getting used to no longer being in the application process!
