My husband have an open work permit visa. I applied for the same and it got rejected with the reason that I will not leave Canada by the end of the authorized stay.
Could someone let me know whether I'm eligible for applying Visitor's visa for a period of 3 months or more? Are there chances of rejection again?
Please help!

You can certainly apply. However there's no guarantee the visitor visa will be approved - especially if the OWP was already refused. You will need to provide very strong evidence of your ties to your home country.

Thanks Scylla.
Can I apply it immediately or should I wait for few months? Also what kind of evidence(Other than job and property/assets) I need to show them that I will return to my country.

Please do reply.

You can apply immediately if you wish. Job and assets are the strongest proof. I would apply for a short visit (a few weeks) - not a few months - if you want to increase your chances of approval.

So if I apply for few weeks and then can I extend it from there? How many times can I extend and whats the maximum period of visitors visa to Canada?
I'm not aware of the process.. so shooting out lot of questions..

Thanks much for your replies. It really helps!!
