ALTERNATIVE TO BIRTH CERTIFICATE?

Hi Friends,

I have filed MPNP application in Dec 2012 from INDIA.
I got Medical Request yesterday & Immigration asked for birth certificate.

The problem is - "I don't have a birth certificate" My parents did not register my birth. Back in 1980's in INDIA, most of the births were not registered due to lack of official system.
What is the alternative to Birth Certificate? i.e. which other documents can i provide to Immigration which holds good?

Please help me out on this matter. I highly appreciate any response to this query.

Before giving secondary exam,secondary board/council normally send identification card where Candidate name,candidate photo,dob,school name everything is mentioned.Otherwise you can apply to your Municipality/corporation they will issue birth certificate (duplicate copy)at nominal fees.
