Alternative of Child's Birth certificate for PR

Hello,
Are other documents valid as Birth Certificate(Passport, Adhaar/UIDAI, School certificate) for depndent child ?
My wife's surname name is incorrect in my daughter's birth certificate and getting that corrected might take substantial amount of time and effort.

Submit both documents (birth certificate and passport or other) then with a letter of explanation.

What degree of “incorrect”? If it’s a simple spelling discrepancy, shouldn’t be much of an issue, but if it’s a completely different name, I’m not so sure.

My Wife's Surname is mentioned as My surname instead of her own.
The UIDAI number, which is recorded as her Identification in daughter's birth certificate, is linked to correct name.
