I applied online...the embassy says its faster if you apply online or via their vac/vfs service than going in person. I too had a file number S xxxxxx . I used that as reference everytime I emailed them for updates.

I have been accepted by Humber college into a 2 year diploma of technology with 12800 CAD / year fee and i have already paid my 1st year fee for 2 semester = 12950 CAD + i have additional 17800 CAD as my living expenses in my account (past 6 months bank statement) i am self funded student, 26 years old IELTS 6.5

What according to you all are my chances of securing a Visa?

Hi guys,

I got my study permit for sept 2013 intake! I applied online via the abu dhabi office on march 13th and it took exactly 9 weeks. I now have to go and submit my passport as per their email instructions.
I have an indian passport. Hope you all get your visas soon too!

Im currently a post graduate and applied for a pg certificate course from shridan college. I showed statements equivalent to my tuition fees+10,000 CAD.

was your student number 6 digit after S? or 9 digit after S?

mine was 9 digit after S (i.e. S xxx xxx xxx)...

is your one S xxx xxx ? or S xxx xxx xxx?

I applied for a study permit with a temporary residence visa on MYCIC (online)

2 weeks later I get a Message in MyCic saying this:

This is in reference to your application for temporary residence. A decision has been made on your application. We
require your passport to finalize processing your application.

I just sent my passport to Abu Dhabi this week, let's see. I'm surprised as to how the decision was made so quickly, it has only been 2 weeks since I applied

Mine is a one year course, so I only showed one year tuition fees plus 10 k CAD. I showed bank statements from uae since I live there. Hope this helps.

If you want to know, I've already been in Canada since 2009, just my permit and visa expired so I applied to get a new one
