Tom- Did u get any reply after the mail.

no, the replied me last week....

i didnt' bother them further after that coz they replied me at least 4 times in last 8 weeks... :)) everytime they said its under process :((

but, next week's wednesday, i will call them again...

let me tell you, they always reply any query by FAX instead of email.... so, use that if you dont opt for going to embassy by yourself still...

duration must be written in the offer letter of the university (for study permit).... take the date from there....

Thanks for the reply, but in my case only the program start date is mentioned. Any more suggestions???

to visa office you must show the PROOF about the duration.. else, they will not issue any visa....

contact your university and ask them send you REVISED offer letter mentioning duration of the program ... if not, the visa would not be accepted....

in lieu of REVISED OFFER LETTER, they may confirm over email OFFICIALLY and that provide a printout of that email to embassy...

bottom line, without start and last date mentioned / or start date and duration, visa will not be issued...

but, practially, if you take time to finish your study (exceeding the end date/duraion of study), that's not a problem, you can extend the visa after going to canada...

but, for now, you have to have the dates.

study permit status cannot be checked online.

hi tomsware
where does it say that we can go to the embassy and check status if the processing time for our study permit application has exceeded?
can u provide a weblink that says that

thanks

the email id which i submit in my application as a contact detail has been compromised and not opening... now i am worried.. how can i send them an alternative email???? to the embassy??! so that i can get communication on that email??
