PLEASE HELP!

I just received my evaluation from WES online - it says the Canadian equivalent of my Post Graduate diploma in modern languages (UNIVERSITY OF BRISTOL, UK - Recognized) is a - Post Graduate Certificate (one year) - major - Modern Languages - now can this be listed as a masters in my EE profile? Please help! Highly appreciated!
I dont think so. Post Graduate certificate is not a degree. My report says something like: equivalent to "Master's Degree"...

I guess it should be "Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees. One must be for a program of 3 or more years." considering you do have a bachelor, equivalent to 3 or more years..

Thanks a ton for your reply @hamidur! - I do agree with you however, one has to fill details of different education separately - so I already mentioned my bachelors which has been recognised as a bachelors degree of 4 years. Now for the other program - post graduate certificate- what option corresponds best? I went with one year program at a university bu I still do think its Masters level study since it says post graduate certificate- only just a guess. Also, will the official WES report have more detail and clarification? I'm yet to receive it. Thanks a ton for your time again! Really appreciate it :)

Depends on individual cases i guess. For ur reference, im based in China. After they received all required documents, it took about 2 weeks, that is 10 days' evaluation plus 3-4 days courier service. I did it in February 2015.
Thanks a ton for your reply @miumiu - I do understand and agree iwth you. SO for now I have listed it as a one year program at a university but I do not think that does justice to the qualification. It is recognized as masters level study in India as per my research. takes off a significant 40 points off my total score too! :( :(

I have completed ECA for B SC Engg (EE) and MBA. So in the official Hardcopy report they provided me two pages.

First Page Contains:
Canadian Equivalency Summary (I believe this is the one you need to look into): Master's Degree

Then, Credential analysis for Bachelor where they mentioned "Canadian Equivalency: Bachelor's Degree (4 years)"

Second Page Contains: Credential analysis for MBA where they mentioned "Canadian Equivalency: Master's Degree"

Now for your case, if it is not given "Canadian Equivalency Summary" as Master's, you can't claim points for Master's degree.. There are many cases where even with Bachelor and Master's degree WES evaluated them as 4 years Bachelor only.. That's why i think you should consider two or more certificate option for your case..

Thanks..

Many thanks for such a detailed reply :). I have listed my BA as Bachelor's degree (as in the WES report) and the Post graduate certifcate as One Year program at a university individually. Are you suggesting I should only talk about the Post graduate cert and choose the option you mentioned? Is that a better thing to do in your opinion? Thanks much in advance!

Hi everyone,

I am in doubts regarding questions "Has xxx applied to Citizenship and Immigration Canada before?" and "Has xxx applied for Permanent Residence (PR) before?" in the Express Entry application.
What should I put there if I had an expired PR card obtained as a dependent (was a child back then)? I do not have any details about that PR application ("Permanent Residence (PR) file number" which is required if I put "Yes")

Can anyone help me?

You were right indeed! I found the info on http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/eca-conversion.asp - I should use two or more two or more certificate... option since its the best suited one. So I mentioned by bachelors and then mentioned two or more for post grad cert. Thanks a great lot! Good luck :)

Hi,

Is it possible to get a lower score by CRS even though calculation from the CIC points chart shows higher? I have calculated my points based on the chart given on CIC's website, but when I opened up my express entry profile, CRS assigned me lower points. There is a difference of about 60 points, which is a lot! Any reasons as to why this would happen?

Hi Everyone,

It would be great if someone could help me with this. I am sure other people will have a similar situation and would want clarification as well.

I applied last year under fsw program but till the time my application got there, the quota for my noc was already full. Anyway I've got my application back and have applied again using express entry.

My question is:
If I get an invitation to apply via express entry can I use documents which were sent last year for fsw application i.e. Police clearence certificate, Roles n Resposibilities letter from my company etc etc. for this application. Or do I need to get those documents again? Because its a huge hassle to get those documents :(

Thanks in advance :)
P.S. - I am new to the forum so plz bear with me if I might not be following(unknowingly of course) forum rules.

You can use the same roles and responsibility but you will have to get a new Police clearance certificate. Hope your ielts is within two years. ;)

I don't know that much about statistics, but (correct me if i'm wrong) in order to even start the analysis, don't we need to know at least: the total number of applications in the pool? And, does anyone know that now...? The drop will be come when it comes... I say we just sit back, and wait it out.
I doubt we should just sit down and wait. We can dig up all the information all over the place and make meaning of it. Looking at the global spreadsheet for EE. There is no major drop again. So it seems the will be a snail speed in drop and maybe an occasional increase in cut off points

Just found out that all the draws occurred either Friday or Saturday. the last four draws were on Friday.

:) ;) :D ;D
