To get the points for my wife's education do i need to get her ECA report? Please advice.

Dear Friends,

I'm 26th June FSWP applicant and awaiting my MR/RPRF. I dont really have much knowledge about new Express Entry system. I think NDVO has been very slow since past couple of weeks in processing FSWP applications, may be they are getting ready for EE and giving more priority to it!

Two questions:

1. Would it be advisable to apply for EE in Jan'15?
2. If I don't apply for EE then another question arise is, Will I be able to access the job search pool which CIC has created for EE applicants?

I will suggest to wait for FSWP application to be processed as you are 26th June applicant. Moreover, you cannot directly apply under Express Entry but you can anytime submit your EOI as you must be ready with everything necessary to submit your EOI. You are half way through in FSWP and Express Entry will not that much favorable to all.

I gave IELTS in MAY and scored 6 in Each. Last month i tried again and end up with R:5.5, L:8, S:8, W:7.
Can i use my first ILETS score?

yes you can use your first IELTS result, its valid for 2 years

Dear All,

pls let me know that while appying for EE 2015 if we need to sponsor family do we need to apply under category "for a foreign national who has an accompanying spouse or common-law partner " to take spouse and childern along with us. and in that case i suppose we need to get the Spouse ECA as well.

There are different criteria based on which points will be caculdated.

Total points 1200


(a) for a foreign national who has no accompanying spouse or common-law partner
(i) a maximum of 500 points for the core human capital factors,
(ii) a maximum of 100 points for skill transferability factors, and
(iii) a maximum of 600 points for either a provincial nomination or a qualifying offer of arranged employment; and

(b) for a foreign national who has an accompanying spouse or common-law partner

(i) a maximum of 460 points for the core human capital factors,
(ii) a maximum of 40 points for accompanying spouse or common-law partner factors,
(iii) a maximum of 100 points for skill transferability factors, and
(iv) a maximum of 600 points for either a provincial nomination or a qualifying offer of arranged employment.

OR
Points per factor - Without a spouse or common-law partner

You have to consider "Points per factor - With a spouse or common-law partner "
while calculating your points as if you dont do that, you are hiding from the govt that you are married. Only if you want to claim points for her education, you have to get her ECA done.

I don't think so. You can skip spouse's ECA if you dont want to claim extra points. However, you have to calculate your points according to "Points per factor - With a spouse or common-law partner"

I am a software professional and could not get into FSW 2014.
I am looking forward for express entry.But it appears it is going to be very tough.

1) Do we need to find a job offer before we apply in the new system ? Is it possible to get a job offer from India ?
2) Is there any chance of me getting through :
IELTS SCORE : S-6.5,W-7,L-8,R-9
Education : B-TECH - Obtained ECA from WES as a four year equivalent degree
Work exp :7 years
Age : 29
Spouse IELTS :S-6,W-6,L-6,R-6.
How much points will I get ?
3) What is the process to get selected as a province nominee ?
