3. Medical results have been received.

Seems like the processing time is coming to a standard for some applications I've been seeing lately. :

There's movement. Seems like people inside Canada and those who have LMIA are having their applications processed faster. CIC needs to start issuing PPRs to those of us who have applied from outside Canada.

My timeline is as follows:

ITA: March 20th (FSW - no LMIA, we were eligible for both CEC and FSW)
Application submitted: April 11th
AOR: April 13th
Document (CELPIP) request: April 14th --- Submitted April 14th
Medical Passed: April 24th
Background Check: Not started

ECAS (Application Received)
1. We received your application for permanent residence on January 12, 2015.
2. Medical results have been received.

So, my ECAS, when I logged in for the first time, did show a second line 'We started processing your application on March XX, 2015'.. but that seems to have vanished after Medical requests were received. Does anyone else have a similar trend on ECAS with just the two lines as above? My medicals are 'passed', but unlike other members with similar timelines, my Background check is not started.. we've had an application returned before and am nervous for this round!

Same with me. my medical passed but BG check is still showing 'Not Started' and that is unlike everyone else.

My ECAS however shows three lines.

According to CIC:

We need to verify criminal, security and/or other background information to ensure admissibility to Canada. Review of background information may be Not started, Not needed at this time, In progress or Complete Not needed at this time means we have not yet received an application for permanent residence. You need an invitation to apply before you can submit an application for permanent residence. Not started means that we have not begun the review of background information. In progress means that we have begun the review of background information. If we require a document from you to complete this review, please upload it in your document checklist so we can continue to process your application. Complete means that we have completed the review of background information.

Ok, now i'm confused. Both my BG and medical show as not needed at this time. Does this mean they haven't received my application at all?

It just means they didnt get to it yet - it will soon change to not started, then to in progress and then to passed.

Review of submitted documents No additional documents are needed at this time
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed In Progress
A final decision has been reached Not Started

This is my timeline.

ITA - 27th Feb
Submitted App - 10th April
AOR - 10th April
Medicals Passed - 13th May

ECAS - Only two lines so far, expecting it to change in a day or two with medicals passed.

I have a question. Did anybody with a non-LMO job apply through CEC without the required POF. I applied with 2000CAD. I work non-LMO contract jobs in NOC 2132 with a PGWP.

My Medical has changed to passed on May 13th but my background check is still showing not needed at this time......so weird..........
