Good day everyone,
I am seeking for your advices please. This is with regards to my partner's situation. We actually applied for PR through AIPP in Nova Scotia. Luckily, I already received mine. Whereas to my girlfriend, since Feb. 1, 2021 as she finished biometrics and submitted the required additional documents, there has been no updates yet until now. We've been trying to send email via web form and call their hotline. Though, they keep on saying that "it is still in process." We submitted our documents last April 9, 2020 and received by IRCC office on April 14, 2020. My girlfriend has seen with probable TB during medical. She already did series of tests, from quarterly chest xrays, CT scan, Bronchoscopy, sputum culture and so on. It all turned out negative. There might be a "scar" from the xray films that is why she had done confirmatory tests. She also underwent consultation with an infectious disease physician and finished a TB therapy as the doctor diagnosed that she has a Latent TB. The reason why she was medicated was that she is prone to acquire TB from other people. Right now, I am so worried about her that she hasn't received her PR. It has been a year and 4 months since applying and 6 months and counting of waiting for any updates for her final decision. Here are my concerns:
1. Will the IRCC refuse her application?
2. Is there an instance that our employer is barring the PR application of my partner?
3. Are there any possible ways to reach out to IRCC regarding this situation other than web form or through their hotline?
4. Can I sponsor my girlfriend through spousal sponsorship though we're still waiting for her AIPP final decision?
5. Do some of you know a situation like this? If there is, how long did it take to receive the COPR?
I am humbly asking for your kind advices please. We are so bombarded with anxiety and depression. We've been helping the Canadian vulnerable group ever since before this pandemic as we are healthcare workers who tirelessly keeping all the nursing home residents safe and healthy. I am hoping that the IRCC will be able to help us as well in dealing with our situation.
Thank you, everybody for your reply.
