any idea guys? please.

thanks

Hi mims,

I don't think anyone knows for sure. On their FB page they recently replied to someone's question about the processing time saying that: "The overall time it can take to receive a nomination if you qualify is between 8-12 months."

I hope that means if your application is denied then it will not take 8 - 12 months to be notified. I'm in the same boat as you, November applicant and waiting for a reply from them. I would suggest that you wait a couple more months and hopefully you will get your nomination.

Hope that helps!

Hi Guys.
I applied for AINP on April 2014.. I only have my work permit valid till Nov2014. at time of application my lawyer told me I had enough time but these new rules have messed it all up... can I extend my visa on basis of my present job as open work permit? or any other suggestions. I work as an electrical designer/drafter in an engineering company.

Nope you can't extend your work permit on basis of your job. You'll need a positive LMO in order to extend it. Once you receive your PNP you'll be eligible for closed work permit & once you receive your file # from CIC then only you'll be eligible for bridging open work permit.Hope this helps.

After nomination once you applied for federal part & You will receive file # from CIC, after you receive it yes for sure you 'll be eligible for Bridging Open work permit, as long as you're working in Canada & your status is about to expire in 4 months.
