I have graduated in Dec 2015 and started working early January while waiting for the final grades. I applied for PGWP at late January so the time before then is unauthorized work. Now I want to apply AINP under post graduate path. I am wondering what start date I should put on the job description letter and other forms? I am thinking choose from the three:
1) January 04, 2016 - This is my actual start date. But I am afraid they would notice I worked before applying for the work permit because it is so close to my graduation date and usually you need to wait for the transcript. In addition, if they want me to prove I was on implied status, I am screwed.
2) Feb 01, 2016 – Date I already submitted the application. The thing is I have no good excuse to convince my employer.
3) Apr 01, 2016 – Date my work permit is valid. I am not sure my employer will agree to put that date but I have a better excuse: The work experience start with my work permit. The other thing is if I use Apr as my start date, my YTD hours and pay would be too high on my pay statement for I actually worked for three more months!
I know they would not care too much about the start date. I am just afraid if they call, they will get different answers. So can somebody help me with this? Thanks!
