Every case is processed on Individual basis so don't worry. Everything will be fine. :)

you are right..

I am not comparing my case as each case is different.

But my worry is not receiving any request for documents or any update since my status was showing Medical Received on Oct 15, 2013 .. which means either my case is not reviewed or there is something, which i dont know, causing this delay.

It depends on how many countries you lived since the age of 18. I think that's taking the time for security clearance.

yeah it affects the process .. i lived in 2 countries other than my home country and Canada.

but i though that Security check is related to FBI and Interpol.

as i noticed that processing in Ottawa is longer than in NS, i think this is why some Sept Applicants are progressing faster than some June/July applicants

There is only 1 Visa office that is CPP- Ottawa, CIO is just the intake office no matter if you mentioned NS or Ottawa on your application,if you're inside Canada your application will be routed to Ottawa.

all the documents will finally transfer to Ottawa, no matter whether you wrote syndey or ottawa, it depends on different Visa Officer.
