Hi all.
I'm waiting for my pr to come hopefully around this March or April since I did submit my medical check result about that time last year.
To make it short, I want to move to another province after getting pr but I'm not so sure if it's risky or not. (I mean what if they take my pr status away because I don't live in AB?)
I've looked through some cases here but still couldn't get to the clear result if it's okay or not.
I mean I know that I signed that I have an intention to settle in AB but that was just what I HAVE to sign because it was what it was supposed to be you know. I've been in Calgary since 2011 and I'm finally on the verge of getting PR soon.
Plus, would this affect anything in the future when I apply citizenship by any chance?
and one more question, what if I go to school in another province after getting pr? would this justify any problem that might happen regarding this issue?
Huge thanks to anyone who would give me any advice on this!!

Charter rights of Canada say that you can live at any Provence of Canada.
So if you move once get PR you not breaking any law as of today. But we not sure it stay same after 4 year when u apply for citizenship.
But do not move immideately , prov can go against you saying you misrepresentated. So try to give a month. Show that you try your best but it was hard to live and do job there Then u shoukd be ok. But again no one can say that before you file citizenship ; CIC won't bring new rules.

Better to stay with nominated province until we get citizenship.

Thanks for paying attention to my question.
I will follow your advice- Not to move immediately. So do you think a month is enough to give before moving?
Should I have an obvious reason such as school or job or marriage to move to another province? or is it ok if I just simply want to try out different places that happen to be in another provinces?
Thanks bro.

May I ask why you would say so? Have you seen anybody that had bad results regarding my issues?

I would just like to try out different places in Canada. Having been in Calgary was enough for me. That's all.
Thanks for paying attention to my question.

Call them and check.

I just wanted to check out here if you guys know better than me before to call them. Thanks!

You can move anywhere in Canada after you become a permanent resident. You don't have to wait a month or day.

Thanks. But I heard some stories that you MAY lose your pr status if you move out of AB, in case you get pr under AINP.
Seems like nobody here is 100% sure if it's okay to move or not.
I guess I have no choice but to call them to ask..

You can move. Period. This have been discussed so many times.

They expect you to stay, but is not mandatory. Go ahead!

Well if your intent was never really to stay and you only agreed to it to get the nomination then you did misrepresent yourself and if the CIC has reason to think that then they can take away PR.

If you currently have a job and a place to live in the province that you were nominated in and you give up those things to move to another province then that would definitely be enough for them to question your intents from the start.

Also ethically I think you have a responsibility to that province and to Canada to stay in the province that nominated you for at least a few years. Each province only has a limited amount of nominations they can give out per year. They give them out to help the economy. This means you got a nomination over someone else who may have really intended to stay there. Also by moving to another province that may not have nominated you for what ever reason you will be taking a job that could have gone to a Canadian Citizen. A job you would not have been allowed to work in without PR and you got PR because you claimed your intent was to live someplace else.

That is just your opinion and has nothing to do with the reality.
