Hi y'all, did a quick search across the forums but couldn't find a thread on this yet - anybody know what level of detail the AINP EE stream wants for their employment reference letters when it comes to:
  • education required
  • skills and knowledge necessary for duties
  • work experience required
(see under "Employment reference letter(s)" in this PDF.)

Do those need to be super detailed, like in a job posting, or can they be fairly broad? I'm not sure where to go with this. Don't want to provide too little, but also not overwhelm whoever is going to read the letter if they want this to be brief. Thanks!

If you have agency over what goes into the reference letter, the best way to go by this is to note down the NOC descriptions on the official website and then write bullet points for your own job that directly correlate with the elements in the official description. My letters had maybe 7-9 bullet points covering all the elements listed under the description for my NOC.

Ah got it. Yeah that's what I'd heard about the duties and responsibilities section too - makes sense that the education / skills / work exp required would follow a similar pattern. That helps, thank you!

You're welcome. My education and work experience required sections were pretty short and direct. What I described was for the duties and responsibilities section.
