Dear All

Re: AINP Family stream requirement

I am interested to know what is the difference between a certified copy of document and a copy of document. For example the applicant is required to submitt a certified copy of birth certificate to prove relationship with canadian sponsor and a certified copy of your degree to prove your highest level of education. On the other hand the applicant is required to provide a copy of a valid passport and a copy of IELTS assesment.

Could some one please specify the difference between or what exactly is meant by a certified copy and a copy of documents to be submitted.

Your help is much appreciated.

Some documents needs to be certified by a notary public. You can take your documents to notary service and they can be notarized.

If it simply says "a copy of document," you can make a copy by yourself.

Dear Jasper thank you very much for your prompt reply. You views have been very helpful.

Correct me if I am wrong the sentence "copy of the document" implies that it is to be a photocopy of the document without any attestation/certification by any authority including a notary public.

Cheers!!!

Yes, that's correct! I don't know which documents are required for Family Stream, but when I applied for AINP H1-B category, I made copies of reference letters & pay stubs to send to AINP without any certification (But I took immigration documents to notary service to be certified).

Certified Copies for FSW programm???

Dear All,
Please advice me if I need to certify all the copies as a true copy of original, or can I just send simple photocopies of my passport, NICOP card, school and university certificates, proof of Canadian relatives etc. Regards
