AINP APPLICATION

I am a foreign worker and my work permit is expiring this October2020. I was laid off because of the coronavirus situation,will I still be able to apply for AINP even i am being laid off from my job?

Hi,
I think you could still apply for it as long as you can prepare all documents on the check lists. There is one that they request last 3 months paycheck before you mail your application to PNP office. PNP office will confirm with your company again just before they make a decision. It took about 5 months for me and just got my nomination confirm early March. Due to COVID-19, I think it will take longer than before. You need to keep your work permit valid until you get the nomination otherwise they will refuse your application. Hope this helps!
