hi guyz!!!

i have submitted my AINP application last january 15 2015 and received my file number last feb 4, 2015. I am still waiting for my nomination certification but my work permit is about to expire next month. What should i do if i still didnnt receive yet my nomination certificate? Would i be able to apply to extend my work permit even without LMIA? what are my options?
Please help....

Thanks for the support....

Truth be told things are not looking good for you right now. There are applicants from Nov 2013 who are still waiting for their nomination. AINP has a serious backlog that will take years to clear. You can check their website for current processing times - http://www.albertacanada.com/opportunity/immigrating/ainp-processing-times.aspx

Also check out this page for other applicants that are waiting for their AINP nomination - http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/r-u-waiting-for-ainp-nomination-t165959.4860.html

My best advice to you is to apply for Express Entry if you qualify and have written an English test. Also try to talk to an immigration lawyer/consultant.

All the best and God bless!

thanks EEdreams15... i know... my employer didnt receive a positive LMIA, that`s why im in trouble.. Im looking into that express entry and i am eligible for that and had my English test done. But then if i didnt received an invitation to apply for PR, can i still apply for a work permit? What about the so-called bridging work permit? will it be applicable?

Since you don't have a PR application in process you are not eligible for the bridging open work permit.
