Age issue

My friend is applying for FSW and wants to claim 10 points for 49 years of age
He is born on 10 June 1959
He had send his application to sydney begining of May 2009 from India
So the date Sydney received it would be before the end of May -
Will they consider age on this day or the day when his documents are received by New delhi office, which would be after AOR and probably early August - when he will be 50 years old
Will he get 10 points or less
Anyone has any idea about this

Dear jckdry
CIC say that they consider applicants elligibility at the time of application. This case depends mainly on CIC.

Although i have no idea what exactly cic will do, I guess they will consider him as 50 yrs. old person. You have to wait few months to be sure about that.

I think the age is locked when you submit application to ciu, Novascotia. How is your other points? are you dependant exclusively on getting 10 for age?

Nope
My friend is yet to take IELTS - so worried about other points too

The lock-in date is when the CIU in Sydney receives the application.
