Hello there. I'm just wondering, how long does it take from medical done/received to 'passport request' ?
I know it depends on visa office ( mine is Manila), could you share your recent experience?
Best regards,

I got medical results received on Oct 14 2015, Received PPR on Feb 10, 2016, Abu Dhabi VO. So about 4 months for me.

We did the medical for our newborn in july 2015 and got the passport request in early october, so more or less the same.

I have same question mine is at HKVO.

I checked SG sub-forum and found many of their cases were 2 months from Medical Request (no matter when they did their medical check within 30 days time).

Dear Friends,

I think following is important informations for applicants waiting for PPR after medical.

Just noted the below information on CIC official website that how long they will take after Medical Examinations to issue the Visa:-

Official Link is:-
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=983&top=4
""How long will my application take if I need a medical exam?
After a medical examination by a Panel Physician, the results are sent for review to the CIC medical office which serves your region. The CIC medical office will assess the results and send their assessment to the visa office which is processing your application.
Processing times can vary but generally:
For permanent resident applications, it normally takes three months after our medical office receives the medical examination results from the Panel Physician before we will contact you regarding the next stage of your application. This is true only if you have already complied with our other requests (e.g. to submit other documents). ""

Thanks Reza Khan. It is really informative. However, I have few things to know. Does this three months time period applicable for both FSW and PNP applicants? Secondly, in many cases we can see people are waiting for 6 months to 1 year after medical to PPR. Does the waiting period vary among VOs? I think 3 months waitng period is reasonable, but this is not the case always.

Thanks and regards,
