hi would like to know if when could i apply for canadian experience i have signed a contract with my employer last june 2009 but was given
work permit on dec. 2009 as a cook at boston pizza. what would i follow when i signed the contract or when my work permit was issued please help me. thank you hambrey

The clock starts on your first day on the job, and not before the work permit was issued.
 
hi, you know it's illegal to work without work permit. so if you worked right after you signed the contract, that doesn't count. and the immigration would question you about working without work permit. to be safe, base all your info to your work permit..

no i was a kitchen helper before being promoted to cook, can i apply now or wait till december
 
Kitchen helper is skill level D so it does not qualify under CEC. Whereas cook NOC 6242 is skill level B which qualifies, you will have to count from the time you got promoted & got work permit to work as a cook.
 
that's right.. so you got your cook work permit last dec 2009. i think that would be fine if you apply this december. i thought you already have CEC application as well...
