Hello everyone.

I'm a 26 years old man from Iran. I studied financial management for my bachelor's and I want to apply for my master's degree in Canada. Also I'm studying master's in Iran (year 3) and I don't like to finish it. I've two years of work experience related to my educational background (financial management) and I worked during my master's too. I have IELTS band 7 and enough financial proof but no GRE or GMAT.

My sister is a permanent resident of Canada and my mother has recently got a multi visa to visit her. She is waiting to meet her after the COVID 19 situation passes.

I've been told that I have no chance to get visa! My concern is to fail to get visa due my incomplete study in Iran or having family members in Canada even with a strong S.O.P. I'm even thinking about continuing my studies somewhere else….

I have two questions:

Is my student visa application related to my mother's visitor visa application?

Is my incomplete study affecting my visas application?

I would appreciate it if anyone would be willing to answer my questions.

Yes, when they ask what you have been doing for employment and they find out you have not completed your Master's, it will be a problem. I recommend you finish your Master's (why has it taken so long?) and apply for phD

You should really finish your studies if you have almost completed it. You may be close to qualifying for PR via express entry if you raise your IELTS and get your masters. You should expect that continuing your masters elsewhere will Be very difficult.
