don't worry, my application is also from 2014, if they don't contact you means you are in good shape and they don't need any more documents from you. whenever they need they will let you know. i just ordered note for my wife, it was mentioned that it will take 36 months, so our turn will come on 2017 man, i hope it is not true but if it is we don't have choice, we can't do anything except wait and watch man. i don't bother my MP i even dont know who the hell is here. i blv it doesn't help the process if i talk to MP or not. so i better not to.
always be alerted, check your email in-case they need something. other then that wait and pray man.

i know AF situation is not good but what we can do? nothing in fact.
just to let you know that you are not alone in that ship there are more ppl with you like me lol



It should not take 36 months. Because it's in New Delhi. The maximum is 16 months. Pakistan was 36 months but now it changed to 40 months.
This is ridiculous man. These people should get punished. I will fight back inshallah because I'm born in Canada and I have the right as a Canadian !!!!!

Guys have a question.. Afghan government is coming up with a new passport and apparently after October 2015 the old Afghan passports will no longer be valid. What should we do at this point? Should we go on and get the new passport...and then email Delhi the certified copies of the new passport. Or should we just wait and ignore it. I'm so worried. If we dont do anything what if they say that they can stamp the old passports anymore or that you cant travel with them at all?!

There is anything hard !
I changed my passport and got new one electronic passport and i emailed to embassy about my new passport
And they got it !
Just one thing is ipmortant everything in new should be the same detail as old one .

My case was sent to New Delhi direct from Mississauga Ont.
I was told it should take up to 16 Months.
My friends case was done in 13 months and he had a baby also.
Everyone's case is different.
Let's all pray and hope the best to get together with our loved ones soon inshallah.

by the way; i got my notes couple of days ago, it mentioned Period 36 months. though my application was send in sept 2014 it is almost a year it also mentioned that the security check is not started yet .
i hope it will get 16 month but i don't think so because their processes are very very slow

Since 16-Jun-20015, my application status was change to DM, still nothing new but only changes in Mailing Address, my current Canadian mailing address has been added.
