Afghanistan Spouse Sponsorship thru India

Dear: Respected forum members.

Thanks God my wife just received her passport with visa stamped from Canadian Embassy in Islamabad Pakistan. But my wife and my in-laws or even my own family doesn't want me to go to Kabul to bring her. They are saying that her brother will bring her to New Delhi and I can pick her up from their.

But apparently a friend of mine told me that we will get problem at the New Delhi Airport cause her passport is stamped from Islamabad and they might stop you their or give you guys problem.

Can somebody please guide me on this or if anyone got their Afghani passport with Canadian Visa from Islamabad and travel from India oh also currently she is in Kabul with her passport and bags ready.

When we arranged for my husband's plane ticket . One of the options was a transit to India. The travel agent said he recommended that I avoid that route because they may give the afghans a hard time.
If my opinion even matters, go to Kabul and get her.

Does any know what is needed when at airport in canada. i would like to know so i can prepare it for my wife. if there is any forms please let me know. Also does My wife need to put my last name on the forms when she is in canada airport caz i have heard if they don't it will take long to change last name.

You should download the customs form from online. Fill it out for her and have her print it and keep a copy for herself so that when she lands bakhaire she copies that.
She should avoid food/beverages and sharp or harmful items
She should put her legal information. This is not when she should change her last name. She can do that after she arrives.

Being in India myself, i had problems with Indian customs asking too many questions and pointless questions like why did we come here not from Afghanistan, including my wifes indian visa. Again, i told them everything and honestly they cant stop you from leaving. They have no choice since you have done no crime so your travel agent is right

We personally went from Afghanistan, Mazar.

We came back from Mazar to Kabul. Kabul ( Kam air ) > Dubai ( Cathay Pacific Airlines ) >
Hong Kong > Vancouver. I will say, te food wasnt enjoyable. Just talking about it disgusts me. We didnt eat but juice and fruits, deserts. But the movies were all new.

If your going from India, When you arrive in Canada. Just fill your customs form for yourself.

Your spouse will need present their CPR ( Confirmation of Permanent Residence ) as well as the Passport to the CBSA officer. You do not fill Custom forms for them. The CBSA Officer will guide you to the visa officer room after you collect your luggage ( you will have to leave your luggage outside the door, cannot bring it in ). It will take 1-2hour in there.

Get your spouses medical card , SIN and go to nearest place to apply for english classes. There is a long wait list

Please order your notes. It helps a lot. I just got my notes two days ago and it has given me an idea of what is going on with my application thus far. I will be ordering notes again to see if any updates have bee made to the file.

I have a few questions for brothers and sisters who have experience with notes.

On my notes, it states that Eligibility, Criminality and Medical are all Passed. Remedical was requested on the day the visa officer "passed" the eligiblity. I assume this means no interview? They received the re-medical results in mid November which they passed and until NOV 28 there is no update for Security. How long will it take for them to start security?

Is there anything I should be looking at in my notes. Anything you could point out in general that I should pay attention to that will give me a better overal picture of what is going on with my application?

Since 25-May-2014 my application status changed to In Process and In that date I done my re-medical too.

but still I didn't receive any notification and any update from embassy side, I think there will be any update to all who gave their re-medical on the date smiler to mine are going to receive PPR inshallah on, January or February,

My husband got request to fill out Schedule A ...We sent it both through email as well as DHL, they got it within two days via DHL. Haven't heard anything since
