may be helpful for someone in sha Allah i don't know about afghan procedure is it the same two steps procedure or what? PPR and PPR-2 for afghans?????


PPR = Passport Request.
In Pakistan PPR comes in 2 steps [PPR-1 & PPR-2].
PPR-1.....London Visa office send PPR-1 through email asking for recent photos, passport copies and a form.
PPR-2.....London VO send PPR-2 through email. Original Passports should be submitted to Islamabad VO for Visa stamping.
Normally (PPR-1) takes 3-5 months after medical done & (PPR-2) 4-6 weeks.

He received it via e-mail along with the IMM1017 form. We didn't get any calls from them.

And yes I would think our is the same as the LVO with the PPR-1 and -2 since you can't mail passport across borders UNLESS they ask you to come in for an interview. They hold the interviews in New Delhi so they will issue the visa after the interview if you pass and they are satisfied with your case. I hope we don't get called in for an interview though

WOW congratulations Cvimm, Afghanboy, Hope_123 and Outlandish!!! sooo happy for my fellow afghans !!!!

I hope we all hear good news within this year. We Afghans deserve a break lol. Anyways i am typing this post from Kabul, I am spending my summer here with my hubby and I am so happy with him and as september gets closer i pray and pray that God finishes his case soon as it will be very hard to go back to canada without him

So far im having a great time I even voted in the second round of elections lol that was quite an experience.

Anyways just wanted to congratulate all of you who heard good news!!! Pray for me too guys!! I hope that he will be with me by feb/march 2015 because his final semester of university finishes this jan 2015 and he doesnt want to leave afg without finishing that first. My case is so similar to Afghanboy's except mine is a husband case and i applied 2 months after him...however our files both got transferred to new delhi on the same date so if my case goes at the same rate as Afghanboys then I shall hear something in 2 months too inshallah although i think it will take a bit longer because mine is husband case and i think male security checks are more complicated then a woman's.

Wow that's so exciting! So much election drama going on in Afghanistan right now, I'm glad you're having a good time. I miss Ramadhan in Kabul!

To be honest, i HOPE ours is not like that. because that is just time consuming. In my opinion, they must do that because they actually have a canadian high commission in Pakistan (their country of residence) whereas, Afghans are thrown in with the others. Afghan files are considered with the New delhi files. So in my opinion, given that some of our members have received visa from New Delhi itself, we probably won't have to go through that 2 stage process. i hope not. it is just unnecessary. INSHALLAH WHATEVER IS FOR THE BEST AMEN

Wow congrats to you so it means they are done sept and Oct 2012 and working on nov ! Mine is 3 months after urs ! So happy for you !
So I called my MP they emailed New Dehli, they said if you get remid they mostly they don't interview and you skip that part if you get interview means you do that first if you pass your interview then you get remed ! So this is great news for all who got remeds congrats once again and plz keep me in your prayers

I contacted my MP rep about my ecas [decision made, no correspondence] and she called back a few hours later and said congrats, your husband's visa is being printed . your case was complete on June 18th. ALHAMDULLILAH ;D I said they haven't asked for his passport. she said OH, then you;ll have to wait any time they will send you instructions within a month (it's been two weeks so far apparently) . don't send it voluntarily. New Delhi tends to lose Passports lol

Nooo don't worry at all bro! My brother also applied in December and he didn't hear anything yet either, so you guys are def next in line bakhair! Just stay positive inshAllah!

That's amazing! So happy to hear this...I really do hope that's the case and yes, I'm happy our files were transferred to ND, they work so much more efficiently compared to Isl so hopefully you will hear in the next few months as well.

What a great news sister congratulations on the visa bakhair!!! I have a question, can u plz refresh me your timeline? Like i know u got a remedical right and in how long time u reply them back and how long time did it take by the doctor to send your medical to cic? Did the doctor in kabul sent it electronically ? And how much was the total expense to do the medical? Plz answer my queations im also doing my wife remed in the next few days bakhair....

Omg omg omg!! Guys guess what i got a call last night from the canadian embassy that your spouse applicaation is finalised and everything is finished and visa is ready and they were asking me if we are ready to travel in july i was so shocked i wasnt able to talk properly... they said u have to do another medical if u cant travel in july and i said ok ll do the remed bcuz m not ready for it and they said fine its gonna be delay couple months then i said no worriessss haha and right after that they sent me an email for remed and i have only 30 days to sent back which ill do this week inshhalah ! Im so happy!!!
