Afghanistan Spouse Sponsorship thru India

Salaam,

My spouse hasn't yet received PR card yet after landing in Canada. On her visa, they only had her first name and it looks like this is causing problems. What do I do? Is there a form I should submit? Even when I check her online status, she's missing last name. Can never trust the incompetent Islamabad visa office....grrrr!

I did MP enquires few times and they say the file is in background check and its been few months I don't know when this wait is going to over

I am early 2013 applicant and still my file is in process. Whenever I contact my MP, his answer is that the file is in background check. We can't do anything except pray and wait.

Hello,

A while ago DELHIIMMIGRATION asked us to provide them with additional information (fee payment bills, medical check up as well as a police clearance). Although, we had provided all of these when we send the application we decided to send them again. We sent them from Afghanistan via DHL but we have not heard anything from them yet. According to the tracking number and the tracking information they received the documents 2 days after we sent them.
Is this normal? Would they email us to let us knoow they received all the documents or do they continue with the sponsorship process?

It is normal process don't worry they sent this latter to everyone they sent me this latter too I fill up it and sent them to with new clearance. But they don't inform you when they received packeg after six month you will request second medical and your status will changing to IP hope soon

To those who have used a lawyer for their sponsorship case: the "notes" that the lawyer orders from CIC, are these the same as the GCMS notes or are they more detailed than the gcms ones? I've recently talked to a lawyer regarding my hubby's casr because its taking WAY too long to process, and be said he can get the file info for a payment of $250??

I think is just the same thing you can get then for 5$ ! Only pay a lawyer if he can do anything not just to enquire for you

Yeah, I have a feeling it's the same as well...which will be a waste of money. And he also told me that if the applicant is a male+over 20+has had more than one job, the background checks will take much longer than those who are younger than 20 or female etc.
I hope we hear something soon...this is just getting so ridiculous!

It's already taking more then a year you know how much longer do they need that's stupid ! My 2nd madical is expiring in less then a month! I'm sure now they will waste my time with 3 madical and other bs

Yeah and no one answers any of the emails that we send them either; my husband's medicals expired almost 2 months ago and still no news from them. I hope you hear something before his meds expire, but seeing how they're treating our cases, I have no hope any more -_-
