My husband had done his re-medical on october 2014, tonight he had received a call from NewDelhi asking questions about his passport such as " when is your passport going to be expired?"
"Number of his passport and some more info abt it"
"his first and last name"
then they told him that they give him a call shortly and they still haven't i am just wondering if anyone else got a call similar to this and what was the next step or what you guys think it will be, i hope they aren't asking him for an interview please share your thoughts it will be helpful for me. Thanks in advance to all my Afghan bros and sis

I have received a letter on September 2014 they ask for medical check up and police clearance, and I did it on time again I received an email on 8 January 2015 they asked me for police clearance from Pakistan because I spent a time in pk so can anybody tell me what will happen next . My application status is ip , I applied in 2011, application transfer from Islamabad to new delhi on July 2014.

I hope, thank you for the reply my timeline is i send my application on October 2013 and they transferred it on January 2014 to Newdelhi, re-medical was done on october 2014 and they called last night.

because i got a mail box in wizarat mukhabert KBL incase they send any letter but the question is do they send any or not?

I am in the same situation, but I we don't have another choice. However, my timeline and yours is the same.

Same boat as yours. Its even harder to understand when you hear some people's visas (family friend of mine) are issued within 8 months of applying..
I mean when they say that applications are done on a first come first basis (like my MP says) then why isn't this rule followed..*sigh

If you have included your and your spouse's e-mail address in the application, they will only send you emails regarding your application--no mail.
If you applied recently, they will either send you a letter of acknowledgement within the first week or so (they usually don't do this though), OR send you an email once they've accepted/sent your application to India/London.

Same here Sadaf; this is just so depressing now....I keep hearing other people who've had their cases done within 8-12 months and we've been waiting for over 2 years now...really unfair. Plus, CIC is keeping everyone in dark...no apparent reason for this sequence.

My husband also received a phone call after they sent him a request for remedical (in June 2014!). He was asked about his job and where he lives etc. Also, if he got request for meds, then 99% he won't get an interview.

You know what, I check his passport and this problem is creat by our consulate of Afghanistan. In his passport they are writing his name and last name plus his father name .
When you translate it down in the page is writing first name and last name. So they stupid afghan consult they write his father name too with his last name together. I think they took that long name from his passport. Coz when I fill the application it was ok everything. And I send them copy of his valid passport. I am thinking they did mistake to take his dad name together with his last name. I don't know what to do now. I am getting tired of this things now getting to much in my head ..

If that's the case, then I would let it be. Like someone else mentioned here, the only option is for him to get a new passport and tazkira completely with the proper names, which is going to make the process even longer than it already is.
Don't fret too much about it; he can always change it once he is here inshAllah.
