I had my birth certificate officially translated & certified back in my country Iran.
Do I need to get "affidavit" for my birth certificate too?

You might need to get your birth certificate translated and certified by a Canadian notary. But I think your official translation will work.

Unless it is recently changed, I do not recall having to get the documents translated in canada. I applied last year and got all my documents translated in my home country.

1. Actually if the document is translated in Canada, you use a certified translator, who certifies the translation, it doesn't have to be notarized.
