I sponsored my stepson to Canada along with his father to Canada 6 yrs ago. He has now been criminally charged with a serious offense and will potentially be deported because of it. What implications are held against me? As a sponsor I know I am "responsible" for him for 10 years of government assistance. Will his conviction have any affect on me?
