Not sure how forums work! First time using one.

Just want some help/advise when contemplating a move to Canada.

I am a skilled and qualified person with a desire for a better life.

I have been on many website looking into life in canada, being so large it's hard to get a general idea of cost of living and quality of life.

Visa' are the most confusing part for me. My desire is to move to Canada and if all goes well stay. But it's hard to pinpoint a method of being able to do this in terms of step by step and most importantly what I must not do.

Any help would be appreciated please feel free to help.

Information on immigrating to Canada can be found here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/apply.asp

Information about working in Canada temporarily can be found here (in almost all cases you will need to secure a job offer in Canada first):

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/index.asp

If you don't feel comfortable / don't have time to read through this information and research the requirements on your own, I would recommend that you hire an immigration consultant or lawyer to assist you.

Thanks for the advice, I have full devotion to working out whether it is realistic and affordable for me to do it I will read as much as possible.

In nearly every case I have looked at it seems 4years is a limit for most visa and in many cases 12mnths seems normal. Surely there is a possibility to live indefinitely in canada

Of course there is. See the first link I provided above (immigration).

Best is to come over for a vacation, 3,4 weeks gives you a first idea.
